There are many unlikely things about Unity College and the town of Unity. Perhaps the unlikeliest of all is the existence of a vibrant cultural and performing arts centre nestled here among the farms, woodlands, and waterways of central Maine.

The Unity College Centre for the Performing Arts (UCCPA) offers students and area residents an eclectic mix of music, films, art, lectures, and other programs. Our event schedule regularly features powerhouse live acts, as well as blockbuster movies and independent films.

The UCCPA is also the site of Unity College’s end-of-semester Student Conference, which showcases Unity students’ best work. The conference includes original student posters, paintings, multi-media, oral presentations, performance, and film, with judging by Unity faculty, administration, and the larger professional community. More than a thousand dollars in prize money is awarded at each conference.

New this fall: D.I.Y. Days! These one-day workshops teach practical skills such as screen printing and sewing. Other regular offerings include free dance and yoga lessons.

Built from a one hundred year-old barn with attached farmhouse, the Unity College Centre for the Performing Arts (UCCPA), is a vibrant cultural and arts centre that offers an eclectic mix of music, films, art, lectures, and more.
