The Harrison Aldrich Wellness Center is staffed by:

In addition to our health and counseling services, we also provide opportunities for a diverse group of students to participate in healthy activities.

If you are worried about yourself or a friend:
Physician’s Clinics are held once per week at the Wellness Center, with an appointment necessary for physician treatment. Please contact us to make an appointment.
Reproductive Health Clinics
Reproductive Health Clinics are held monthly (for both men and women) at the Wellness Center. The Reproductive Health Clinic services include: exams, birth control options, STD and HIV testing, and education. Please contact the Wellness Center to make an appointment.
Travel Health Visit
There is a lot to think about when traveling! The Wellness Center can make your trip more pleasant if it is planned properly and safely. Anna can give you current disease information, as well as the emergency care procedures and recommended immunizations for the country you are visiting. Come down for a Travel Clinic visit as soon as you know where you are going and we will start you safely on your trip.
Flu Shot Clinic
Flu Shot Clinics are held once a year in October—watch for announcements.

Counseling Services offers confidential individual counseling, outreach, educational programming, and consultation to address the needs of the Unity College Students. Group counseling or support/special issue groups are available by request. Counseling Services are offered free of charge to all Unity College students.
The counseling relationship is completely confidential within the legal and professional guidelines for the state of Maine. No information that you share with the counselor can be released without your consent. An exception to this is if there is a threat to your safety or someone else’s safety.

You can always visit the Counseling Center, but you also have the option of finding your way to wellness completely on your own time – from the comfort of your room. Unity College offers a free service called TAO Connect. TAO is a mobile app and online program that offers tools to help you feel happier, healthier, and more productive during difficult times in your life.

After Hours Emergencies
Counseling Services recognizes that students sometimes find themselves or friends in immediate need of help at times when Counseling Services is closed. In the event of an emergency, please try the following:
- Contact your R.A., Director of Residence Life (Stephen Nason 207-509-7284), or Public Safety (207-509-7232) if you live on campus.
- You may also contact the Waldo County 24 hour Crisis Service at 1-888-568-1112 to speak with a counselor via telephone.
