Making a Bequest
Support which is meaningful to you
Anyone can make a bequest to Unity College through their will or trust.
You may choose an area to support that is meaningful to you, select to make a gift to the endowment, or choose to have your gift be unrestricted and have it flexible to meet the priority needs of the college.
Bequests may be given as:
- A percentage of your estate
- A specific dollar amount
- A gift of personal property such as real estate or artwork
Even if you already have a will, you can add an amendment or codicil at any time. These can be done very inexpensively and allows you to make a lasting impact on Unity College.
If you don’t have a will, we would like to suggest that you consider writing one that states your wishes and provides security for your family and loved ones. Many wills are written after a life event such as marriage, the birth of a child, the purchase of a home, but it is never too late to write one.
Please feel free to contact Erica Hutchinson at 207-509-7145 if you have any questions. Because this is an important step, we recommend that you discuss this option with your estate planning representative.
